Clive was an amazing man, so strong and so brave. He fought so hard throughout his life with everything that was thrown at him. I even sneered at the word "cancer" - not my Clive - he was invincible! Sadly after two attempts at Chemo - he lost his fight againsts this evil disease on Sunday 28th October 2007. I will always love him and thank him for all his has left me with - lovely beautiful memories and most importantly four beautiful children. His funeral was a tribute to him - and how proud he would have been to have heard his children and his family and friends talk about him with such love. Since Clive died, I have tried to turn something tragic into something positive, and that is why, in his memory we have raised money for Arthritis Research Campaign. A charity I feel passionate about - it is a disease Clive suffered with for 15 years. I feel more research needs to be made into this disease, so that less harsh medication is taken in order to tackle simple things we all take for granted. In June 2008, the children and I organised a "Celebration of Clive's Life" at the Manor Hotel, Meriden. It was attended by 180 people and we raised an amazing £5,000. Half went to MacMillan Nurses and half went to Arthritis Care. In January 2009, I arranged an Abba Tribute Night to raise money for a bike challenge from London to Paris to take part in June, with myself James and Jake and we raised £3,000. In June of this year 2009, I arranged another ball and we raised another £2,000. The children and I would like to thank everyone who kindly donated money to the ARC in Clive's memory. I will be planning more fundraising events for 2010. I
